Local residents are being given the opportunity to ask questions about the new £60 million state-of-the-art Health and Social Care Hub planned for Parkhead.
The event today will offer local people the chance take part in a real-time live chat where they can come to the website and speak to members of the team through a chat box – they can ask questions to individual team members.
There will be information boards that people can view and as well as asking questions they can leave feedback through an online feedback form.
The new hub has been agreed as a priority for future investment and will provide state-of-the-art modern healthcare facilities for the residents in the north-east of Glasgow.
It is envisaged services based in a new centre would include:
- 2 GP surgeries
- Dental services
- Community pharmacy
- Primary care mental health and psychotherapy
- Rehabilitation and enablement services
- District nursing
- Health visiting and school nursing
- Social Work children and family teams
- Older people’s mental health services
- Learning disability services
- Sandyford East sexual health services
- Health and social work addiction services, including hospital addiction team
- Criminal justice social work services
