Paediatric health care workers from the Royal Hospital for Children will be joined by GOSH and Evelina Children’s Hospital in London, Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, Sheffield Children’s Hospital, the Great North Children’s Hospital in Newcastle.
The cycle will be completed in stages, with those taking part stopping at children’s hospitals across the UK for events in Birmingham, Sheffield, Newcastle and Glasgow.
By joining together on this ride, the cyclists want to encourage others to act, establish a network of likeminded individuals and help to build a more sustainable NHS.
While you may not be able to join the physical Ride for their Lives, you can support the challenge by joining healthcare professionals from around the world and clocking your cycled miles virtually on Strava.
