Staff and students at the Glasgow Dental Hospital and School have raised thousands of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Charity as part of a fundraiser held on Friday, 29 September.
In a heart-warming display of support for the charity, a total of £2017 was raised by the teams at the Dental Hospital.
The Macmillan Cancer Charity is a renowned organisation in supporting individuals and families who are suffering from and affected by cancer.
The coffee morning was a huge success with NHS and university staff and students competing for the best designed table. Healthy competition amongst colleagues saw floor seven run out as worthy winners with their ‘Down the rabbit Hole’ inspired idea and were presented with a trophy from Director of Regional Services, Susan Groom.
Kirsten Burns, Clinical Services Manager at the Glasgow Dental Hospital, said: “I would like to extend a huge thanks to the staff and students who took part in our coffee morning in support of Macmillan Cancer Charity.
“The morning was packed full of entertainment and I am extremely grateful for all the donations made from the various teams.
“The effort made by everyone entering the competition and the support shown by staff and students was outstanding.
“It is great to see so many people get involved in what is such a worthwhile cause and highlights the generosity from everyone involved.
“We hope our donation can make a small contribution to the work the Macmillan Cancer Charity does and that it can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.”
